On this stunner of an episode I finally get my sword back from the pig stealing Kookaburra! It turns out all I needed to do was wait for the Curiosity Shop to open at 10 pm and buy it back from Shady Fella inside! While waiting for the Curiosity Shop to open I did manage to add the Old Lady from the Bomb Shop to my Bombers Notebook, that was a bonus! Once I got my Sword back I ventured out into the field to test my sword out on the Kookaburra who had stolen it only to nearly lose it again, some times I just can't help myself. After taking my anger out of the Kookaburra I decided to venture to Romani Ranch to see if any events had occured during the night. They had not, nothing had changed! The process to get my horse back still remains a mystery! Perhaps I could solve this by resetting time and starting at day one? I than decided to venture back to the Mountain Village to sharpen my sword as it had lost its edge! Once I got there I realised that the forge had frozen over again and needed to be defrosted. This would require me having to visit the Hot Springs in the Goron Graveyard. Once defrosted I requested the sword to be resharpened. I was notified that it would be ready at dawn. I had big plans of going Goron racing so I could get some more Gold Dust only to realise that I was on the second night of the cycle and would need to wait another night to have the sword reforged with the Gold Dust, this was not going to work. I had missed my opportunity to get the sword permanently sharpened...again! As I had missed this opportunity I would have no choice but to reset the cycle and start again. Hopefully this wouldn't require me to have to defrost the forge once more. Perhaps my swords sharpness would survive the reset! Before resetting I made bank and than realised I still had one bean left to be used, I didn't want this to go to waste so I set out to find a soft spot to plant! The Great Reset tends to take everything from you, including beans! While chucking mad laps around Termina field I stumbled across a fella up a tree near the observatory. I tried to chat to him but he wasn't up for a conversation. I then noticed that there was a floating plant now available inside the grounds of the observatory, I hadn't seen this before. What was this black magic! As a result I ventured into the observatory and took a ride on the plant only to realise that it took me out of the grounds to the point I had been only moments earlier, another waste of time... While riding the plant I tried to converse with fella up the tree but I still couldn't interact with him. He wouldn't forever remain a mystery to me. I than decided it was time to play the song of soaring and save game!

Where art thou sword? I spent part of this episode trying to find a clue as to the whereabouts of my sword. This eventuated into nothing, the sword remains missing at the start of the episode and at the end... I did manage to get back to the Bean Seller and buy two beans though. So, theres that.. I used one of the beans at the Doggy Race Track, the plant grew to full size immediately because of the rainfall that was happening at the Ranch! Apparently the Cows of the Ranch are all gone! Romani has lost her mind and her words. She refuses to communicate and only looks back at me with a dumbfounded look upon her face. She's no help at all. Something clearly happened at the Ranch which has everyone in a tizzy. Creamia is not making much sense either, she did however manage to commicate to me that the Romani Cows have all gone. Whatever the case, the fact is my Horse Epona remains locked up in the stables and no matter what I do I cannot get it out. Turns out I will need the horse to jump the fence to get to Ocean Road. Without the horse I am boned... Meanwhile back in Clocktown everything proceeds as normal but with one difference. Upon leaving the town gates a Guard gave me a hint as to the possible wehereabouts of my sword. Apparently the Curiosity shop may hold the next secret, the only issue is that the Curiosity shop doesn't open its doors until 10 pm. I went back to Romani Ranch and allowed time to pass until night came. I was hoping this would change the events but not much changed. Romani was now asleep and completely unresponsive. I ventured back outside to see if anything had changed and nothing did so I decided it best to head back to Clocktown to save game... What a pain in the bean bag! The bird stole my sword!
On this episode I spend far to much time trying to find my sword which was stolen by the frigging Kookaburra in Termina Field! Apparently its not going to be easy to get it back... I bit my bottem lip and continued on like a champ. Instead of trying to get the sword back I decided it was best if I just ventured into Romani Ranch instead. On the way I discovered a giant boulder blocking the road. A Clock Town worker was trying to remove the boulder but was having no luck. Fortunately I was prepared for just this circumstance and had on me a Powder Keg which I promptly used to blow it to pieces! Before entering Romani Ranch I discovered and visited the Gorman Brothers Race Track and got swindled into buying some watered down milk. And that's the way the cookie crumbles... They did mention that I needed a horse to race. I was out of luck because my horse was stolen at the start of the game and was jumped off a cliff, or so the Skull Kid had said... I decided to move on and headed straight for Romani Ranch. Inside the Ranch was a massive open field. At the entrance I had the pleasure of meeting Creamia and her Moo Moo. Creamia was extremly happy to have the road open again as she could deliver her world famous milk to the town. I ventured on beyond the Farm House of Romani Ranch and found myself at the Doggy Races! This was defiantly fixed! I bet fifty five dollary-doos only to find that the dog I had chosen ran dead last! At this point it was probably a good thing that my sword had been stolen by the odd shaped Kookaburra! I tried a couple of times to win the race but failed. I believe there may be a mask I need to wear in order to identify the winner. I tried the Bird mask and the Leader Mask but I had no sucess! Onwards and upwards! I decided to head over to the Coccu breeding ranch and found some Chicken Breeding Punk sitting under a tree. He looked miserable and when questioned he expressed his angst at the news that the Moon was falling. Before it fell he had one desire and that was to see his baby chicks hatch! I put on my wish pants and got to work! For some reason (perhaps because I have been playing this game for the last 20 years) I recalled that the Leader Mask might work in this situation. I put it on and started to play the flute and than it all started to happen! At first one baby chick chimed and another followed. Followed by another and than another! Eventually I rounded up all the baby chicks. When the final one joined the Konga Line something amazing happened, the chicks started to grow into roosters or chickens or something (definitely not dogs). The Punk under the tree was as happy as Larry and rewarded me with a Bunny Mask! Wearing this allowed me to run around like a hypoactive mammal of some sort... I was finished with the Cucco Ranch and decided it was time to move onto Romani House. Upon approaching Tael alerted me to the fact that my Horse was in the Ranch stables! Hazah! My horsey! I tried to get Epona out of the stables but was unable to. It was now that I decided to actually enter the Ranch itself where I met Creamia and Romani herself. They talked some about their famous milk and the child Romani was added to the Bombers Notebook. However, as much as there was excitment inside the Ranch none of it actually lead to me getting Epona out of the stables. I thus left the premises and chucked mad nuts around the Ranch in Goron form until I found a ladder that lead up the back wall of Romani Ranch. This lead to no where and made no sense. With that some what disappointing outcome I decided to head back to Clock Town to save game. On the episode I run all over Termina trying to get things done as if the Moon is falling out of the sky! Firstly I decided to go to the Bean Seller at the Deku Palace so I could get beans to plant. There was one bean site I had in mind in particular, the site itself was in the fields of Termina near the big log. This was a complete waste of time as all I got was 20 rupees. I also decided to go back into Woodfall temple to defeat the Boss. The reason for doing this was so I could race the Butler which apparently had shut up shop since I last reset time. This was a good battle. Having the ability to transform into a Goron has its advantages. After saving the Deku Princess again it was now time to race the Butler. Easier said than done. I was under the impression that the Butler had a gift for me but he certainly made it difficult to collect it. In other words the Butler race sucks! But being the persistant little fella that I am I stuck to my guns and finally got the job done. As a reward for racing the Butler I received the Mask of Odors aka The Pig Mask. I have no idea what this does but I suspect it may have something to do with finding the location of the mushrooms that are in the Lost Woods as I recall one of the witches noting that the mushrooms she was looking for had a unique odor. Interesting...
On this episode I wait patiently for my sword to be reshaprened into the Razor Sword. While waiting I decided to go to the Goron Race Track and try to win. It took multiple attempts but I was finally sucessful. Once I won the race I was awarded a jar of Gold Dust from the Crying Baby Goron. Finally I had discovered the location of the elusive Gold Dust that the Black Smith had been talking about! Apparently if I was to bring the Gold Dust to him while my Razor Sword still held an edge he could make the strongest sword in Termina! This was something I would not soon forget! I raced back to the Black Smith to see if I could speed up the process but I would need to wait until morning to get my sword back. While waiting I decided to go back to Snowhead and hunt down the remaining green fairy. I knew that it was somewhere in the centre room but I didn't know which floor. In the end I used the Lens of Truth to locate a hidden side room. The only problem was that it was extremly difficult to reach. I tried multiple times to reach this room in different forms only to fail each time. But I persisted and finally discovered the best way to reach it was by Deku Flower! Happy Days! Once inside I opened the chest to recieve the final elusive green fairy! Happy as Larry I raced back to the Fairy's Fountain to return the broken fairy to her former self. As a reward I received double magic power! At this point the dawn of the Final Day had begun and I figured it was time to return to the Black Smith to pick up my sword. After receiving the sword I attempted to upgrade the sword with the gold dust only to disocover that the Black Smith was not taking any orders on the Final Day because the following day was the Carnival of Time. No suprise there. This would mean I risked losing the Gold Dust when I reset time which would ultimalety mean I would have to race the Gorons again in order to receive new Gold Dust. FML.
On this episode I spend some quality time exploring the Mountain Village in the warm spring weather! I decided to resharpen my sword at the Black Smiths. While this was happening I decided to head back to the Goron Village to see how things were going there. I quickly learnt that Gorons can't swim (the rumours were true). I also managed to meet up with the Crying Goron baby who decided to have a cry about the big boulder that was blocking the entrance to the Goron racing track. I attempted to blow the boulder up using one of my little bombs from my excessively large bomb bag but it failed to leave a mark. I was going to need a bigger bomb. I suddenly remembered meeting the Goron at the Bomb shop in Clock Town. He told me that I could find a Powder Keg Bomb trainer near Goron Village. I suddenly recalled a giant icicle that was blocking the entrance to an area I had previously been unable to enter. I raced back to the Goron village and found that the ice had melted and I was free to enter. Beneath the ground there was a Giant Goron who presented me with a challenge. All I needed to do was carry a Powder Keg bomb back to the Goron race track and blow up the boulder at the entrance. How hard could this challenge possibly be? This was easier said than done. After one failed attempt I suceeded. The crying Goron was happy as Grandma and took off for the race track. I followed closely behind. It suddenly become apparent that I was expected to race. I gave the race one attempt and than decided it was best if I returned to the Giant Goron so I could claim my cert in Powder Kegs. As a prize for my success in blowing things up the Giant Goron granted me full acess to the Powder Kegs and gave me one Powder Keg to use on whatever I saw fit. I than decided it was time to check things out in the Goron Village itself. Everyone was there... including Bob Segar Sonny and Cher..... They worshipped me and told me how great I was. Being worshipped is weird... Than I realised what time it was and decided it was best if I headed back to the Mountain Village to save my game!
On this episode I decided to try and complete Snow Head temple in one hit. This was easier said than done. This temple is a beast! The amount of times I fell down and had to start my climb to the top of the temple out numbers an previous attempts by far! Normally I would have gotten frustrated and pulled the pin earlier on but I decided to be patient (not one of my finest qualities) and push on! Eventually, after too many trys and after being completly lost and confused for a good portion of the epsiode I found my way to the top where I took on the Boss Goyt! Now the temple finally makes sense... I didn't get to collect all the fairies in this temple. One remains somewhere and I am yet to find the location, I do know however that it remains in the centre room of the temple but the level it is actually on still evades me. After the epic battle I was spawned back at the Mountain Village! It is a sight to behold as all the ice has melted revealing a whole new world to explore! On the next episode I have decided to do two things. One is to unlock all the secrets of the Mountain Village by exploration and number two is to head back to Snow Head to find that last fairy!
On todays episode I managed to defrost the Goron Elder and learn the Goron's Lullaby. Well, at least I learnt the first part of it. The second part of the lullaby was taught to me by the crying Goron Baby himself after I attempted to soothe the child using the first part of the lullaby. After completing the full lullaby the baby fell to sleep and I was now free to make my way to Snowhead temple. On the way I got sidetracked by trying to light all the torches in the Goron Village. This failed, so I moved on out to the entrance of the Goron Village. Once outside I found a Deku Shrub near the entrance to the Goron Village who was offering me the largest bomb bag available for 200 rupees. How could I refuse this offer? I soared back to Clocktown and went to the bank to get some more money. I immediatley returned and traded my old bomb bag and 200 rupees for the largest bomb bag available. Happy days! Now it was time to move onto Snowhead itself. I jumped the chasms and found myself standing next to a new Owl Statue. I unlocked this statue with a swipe of the sword and than proceeded to cross the windy pass but failed as I was continually blown back by an unseen force. Tatl chimed in, she recommended I have a closer look at what was causing the wind. I tried but was unable to see anything with my naked eye. Instead I decided to have a look using the Lens of Truth. This revealed a giant Goron who was blowing out massive amounts of cold air. This was the apparently the cause of the wind which kept blowing me back as I tried to pass over. If only I could get rid of the big fella... I suddenly remembered the song I had been taught by the Crying Baby Goron back at the Goron Village. I tried to play the song the first time as Link but this failed to do the job. I tried a second time, this time wearing the Goron mask. This did the trick. The Giant Goron reacted immediatley, firstly he fell to sleep and than he fell to his apparent death?!? Anyways, there was no time to think of that now. Time was quickly wasting away as I careened towards the end of the final day! I made my way into Snowhead temple, which was easier said than done and began unlocking its many secrets and doors. The main item I was desperately searching for was something to melt at all the icicles that were blocking the doorways throughout the temple. I managed to find both the dungeon compass and the dungeon map but I couldn't quite reach the room where the elusive fire item was apparently awaiting me. I knew I was getting close but I had to bail before I could reach it as I was down to the last hour of the final day! The race was now on to get back to Clocktown, make bank and reset time!
On this episode I spend some quality time defrosting things. The first item I choose to defrost was the forge at the Mountain Village. This allowed me to sharpen my sword which I was immediately denied because I didn't have enough rupees. Side Note: Don't help Nips and his gigantic friend ever again. I therefore decided it was time to venture back to Clock Town to cash in my remaining rupees so I could afford the sword sharpening. I arrived in Clock Town and found myself going straght to the Bombers Hideout. I suddenly remembered a wall in there that could now be destroyed using the bombs I now had the ability to use. This would allow me access to a treasure chest that I knew contained a silver rupee which was worth 100 rupees. Gaining access to this would give me enough rupees to raise my rupee account at the bank to over 1000 rupees. Upon achieving this goal I was immediately let down. There I was thinking I was about to recieve a larger wallet and all I received as a reward for saving over 1000 rupees was 5 rupees in interest. Typical bank... I wasn't interested and went on a bit of a bender for five minutes ground pounding everything in sight. I visited the bomb shop while I was there and talked with the Goron who was sleeping on the floor. He told me before I could get access to the Powder Keg Bombs he had for sale I would need to go through the required training. He than told me where to find this mysterious Powder Keg Bomb trainer and went back to sleep. A lot of help he was.. I returned to the Mountain Village with over 100 rupees and decided to get my sword sharpened. This was going to take all night so I decided to speed things up by playing the song of time in double time. This allowed me to skip to the morning of the final day where I knew my newly sharpend sword would be waiting for me. The sword was waiting for me but I was warned not to use it too many times as using the newly sharpend sword would dull its edge. I was also given a hint that if I bought the Black Smith some gold powder that he could make me the sharpest sword in the land. This was an awfully tempting offer except I didnt have a clue where to find the gold dust. I decided to leave the Black Smith and his Gigantic friend and romp around the mountain village for a time punching snow bolders. This is when I discovered the Elder. He was frozen solid inside a snow boulder near the entrance to Snow Head. I decided to help a brother out and defrost him as well. This required me going back up to Darmani's grave and getting more hot water. Once he was defrosted he spoke of the need to get to Snow Head and than completely dismissed me. Sad old man.... Anways, I decided to move on with my life and decided to head back to the Goron Village. I was immediately side tracked when I found a giant icicle on the way there. I traveled back to Darmani's Grave , got some more hot water and defrosted this giant iceberg. This revealed a hole below that lead to another hot spring. Happy days! There would no longer be a reason to climb up to Darmanis Grave for hot water. Having to climb up to Darmanis Grave was turning out to be a real pain in the neck. This hot spring would prove to be a real blessing. My defrosting adventures were starting to pay off. I entered into site above the Goron Village where I found another icicle. This new icicle was blocking the entrance to the Powder Keg Bomb trainer that the Goron back at Clock Town had spoken of. I was keen to gain acess to this site but it didn't matter how many times I tried to defrost the entrance it simply failed. I was going to have to wait until another time before I would be granted access to the Keg Bomb Trainer. Anyways.. I continued on towards the entrance to the Goron Village. I tried to gain access but was denied. The sign directed me to find the gate keeper who was supposedly above the entrance. I tried to find him, but apparently he had gone awol. I finally found the Gate keeping Goron rolling around inside a giant snowball. He was frozen. More hot water was collected and the Goron was freed. As a reward he opened and than immediately closed the door to the Goron Village before I could gain access. Out of anger I ground pounded the snow in front of the entrance and magically the door opened... perhaps I should have tried that in the first place. Inside was a bunch of disgruntled Gorons who were all blocking their ears. A baby Goron was crying his eyes out and I was requested to go and find the Elder to help soothe the crying baby. Yep, I was now charged with finding the very same Elder who had earlier dismissed me. At this point I decided it best to save face and save game..
On this episode I venture into the fields of Termina in search of fortune and glory! I explore the regions of the Great Ocean, the place where the flying skulls roam (???) and the Mountain Pass. By shooting down a giant icicle I gained acess to the mountain road and found my way to the Mountain Village where I found a blizzard had set in. Upon talking to the local Black Smith and his gigantic friend I discovered that the mountain village had not always been frozen, once it was ice free allowing Gorons to roam around without freezing solid. I attempted to get to Snow Head but was blocked by a deep chasm. I therefore decided it was best if I headed into the Goron Village instead to see if I could be of assistance there. At the edge of the Goron village I discovered my old Owl Friend who showed me the path to a secret cavern which held an ancient treasure known as the Lens of Truth. I used the Lens of Truth to leave the cavern, on the otherside of the Ravine I discovered The Spirit of Darmani. He requested that I follow him, this I did without hesitation Following him lead me to the site of his grave. Here I was rewarded with the Gorons mask and also gained acess to Hot Spring water by moving Darmani's Grave Stone. I used some of this Hot Spring Water to defrost the Gorons friend at the entrance of the grave and than went back inside for some more. A realisation dawned upon me... I could use the Spring Water to defrost the Black Smiths hearth which would allow me to sharpen my sword, for a fee... This failed miserably as I managed to place the Hot Spring Water in the wrong place. Frustrated I attempted to get back to Darmani's grave but I quickly lost patience and decided to call it a day. I also managed to make bank earlier on in the epsiode. I am almost at one thousand rupees saved! Bigger Wallet here I come! I hope...

Micheal FarmerWay back in the early 2000's I received my very own copy of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask as a gift from my wife. Ever since than I often find myself reminiscing about the time spent in the game. ArchivesCategories |
